There is a place for everyone to minister and be ministered to at Forest Hills.  Opportunities abound for all ages from children to youth to adults.
CHILDREN

Forest Hills has taken a huge step in enhancing and expanding our Children's ministry buy adopting the AWANA ministry as our platform for ministry.  There are a few additional leader positions that we need to have to assist each of our clubs and serve the children of our church and community.

AWANA Clubs are conducted on Sunday nights, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, on August 12th.  Clubs will be offered for children from 3 years of age up through 12th graders.

Cubbies:  Through puppets, Bible stories, music and games, these 3 and 4 year-olds will begin to learn God’s Word.

Sparks:  K – 2nd graders learn about what Jesus has done for us in the past and how important that is to our future.  Sparks memory verses are also set to music.

 Truth in Training (T & T’s):  For 3rd - 6th grades.  They will dive even deeper into the Word making application to our lives today.  We have two classes, one for the 3rd & 4th graders and one for 5th & 6th graders.

24-7:  For 7th - 12th grade students.  Taking our students deeper into the Word is what they have asked for and this is the time they do!

There is also ample opportunity to serve our smallest children by providing nursery care during the worship services.  The nursery assignments for the current month can be retrieved by clicking here or on the link to the left.

We also provide a separate Children's Church on Sunday mornings during the 10:30 am worship service for our 4 & 5 year-olds.  If you are one of our Children's Church workers, you can retrieve the latest assignment list by clicking on the link above left or here.

YOUTH

The Youth have their own focused Bible study and worship time on Wednesday nights.

They have completely renovated the educational and meeting areas for the Youth to make it their own space.  The Youth area now features it's own multimedia center with LCD projector for song lyrics, movies and even computer games!  Throw in the ping-pong, pool, and foosball tables and you have the makings of an eventful experience

...THE WORSHIP!
Deacons    
One of the most important positions a man can be nominated to in our church is that of a Deacon.  These ordained men are true servants of the Lord providing assistance in many areas of our church including the Family Ministry program, preparation of the Lord's Supper, and facility readiness.  The "Deacon of the Week" assignment list for the 2006-2007 church year is available at left or by clicking here.

Forest Hills is affiliated with the Colbert-Lauderdale Baptist Association, Alabama State Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention.  Our facilities are at the top of the hill above Forest Hills School on Stovall Drive.
